Italy Away Shirt 2016 is unveiled in Florence, Italy. It is published jointly by PUMA and Italian Football Federation(FIGC). The shirt is designed for Italy national team. Players of Gli Azzurri will put on it to compete with Malta national team for the preliminary match of UEFA Euro 2016. Besides, PUMA also provides equipment for Italian youth team, women’s soccer and beach soccer team.
Italy football shirts with unique design details show the tradition of Italian football, growing passion and a strong sense of pride of players. Designers get inspiration from Italian three-colored flag. There is a three-colored stripe extending from the collar to the bottom, and the three-dimensional badge of the FIGC is inlaid in the stripe. Tailored blue collar and stripes on shoulders make a contrast with the main color, white. The logo of Puma on the right brings out the crucial point.
PUMA’s latest technology, ACTV Thermo-R, is used to produce these shirts. Therefore, the new shirts can make players keep best body temperature.
“The powerful Italian culture has influenced the whole design and designers have created a lot of compelling details. We get inspiration from the rich heritage of Italian football, and we learn from it. I am proud of the final design and looking forward to the next matches after the preliminary match.” said Tosten Hochstedtter, PUMA’s global creative director.
“I thank PUMA for designing our national team shirt. It is still one of our great partners. The national team represents Italy national flag when athletes play in football fields around the world. Therefore, the design that the national flag is inlaid in the stripe perfectly reflects this idea.” said Carlo Tavizio, the chairman of the FIGC.
